Donghae local government owns and operates CCTV surveillance camera for citizens’ safety and security.

Challenge

They authorized a service provider with operating with mechanical cam locks but they have concern over lost key, and security issues that might occur.

Solution

The local government in the city of Donghae, South Korea, is having the mechanical cam locks on its roadside CCTV control boxes replaced with the eCLIQ 670 electronic access control system. Secure, reliable and uncomplicated, the powerful microelectronics in the programmable waterproof key and compact electronic locking cylinder provide the highest possible level of security. An audit trail is provided with the electronic key management system. While about 170 units have been installed since 2015, orders for some 30 more a year are expected.
